GCAS Has Successful Review By Peers

[Silver Spring, MD, November 13, 2011] The General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS) announced today the completion of a peer review of its auditing practice for the North America Area. For the fifth consecutive time, GCAS has been recognized as adhering to the quality standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

GCAS Receives National Association State Board of Accountancy CPE Sponsorship Renewal

[Silver Spring, MD, May 3, 2011] The General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS) announced today that its CPE sponsorship from the National Association of State Boards Accountancy (NASBA) has been renewed and GCAS will continue to be listed with NASBA’s National Registry of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Sponsors effective through May 1, 2012.

Ministry Magazine Publishes an Article About GCAS

[Silver Spring, MD, March 24, 2010] Ministry Magazine, an international journal for pastors, published an article about GCAS in the March 2010 issue. Ministry Magazine editor Nikolaus Satelmajer and associate editor Willie E. Hucks II interviewed three members of the GCAS management team and the Chairman of the GCAS Board.

Seventh-day Adventist Church Auditing Board Chair Appointed as Academic Fellow with S.E.C.

[Silver Spring, MD, July 21, 2009] The United States of America Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Office of the Chief Accountant selected Dr. Jack Krogstad to serve as Academic Accounting Fellow for a one-year term beginning August 2009.

Academic Accounting Fellows provide research resources for SEC staff by interpreting and communicating research materials as they relate to the agency.

GCAS Launches New Website

[Silver Spring, MD, January 15, 2009] GCAS is pleased to announce the launch of their new website (www.gcasconnect.org). The website provides GCAS with an internet presence which in the course of time is envisioned to be the preferred portal for church financial personnel to access resource materials and church members to access general information.

GCAS 2nd International Seminar a Success!

[Chiang Mai, Thailand, January 25, 2008] GCAS announced today that the 2nd International Seminar convened in Chiang Mai, Thailand, January 18 to 25, 2008, was a singular success. More than 400 persons, including auditors, spouses, children, and invited guests from the General Conference, World Divisions, and GCAS Board, attended this event in a location that prides itself in providing first class accommodations and event facilities at an extraordinarily reasonable cost.
